New Residents
Welcome to Mt. Lebanon.
Whether you are considering moving here or already are settling into your new home, we know you will have many questions about our town.
One of the best places to find answers to your most basic questions—garbage pickup, utilities, rules about dogs, parking regulations, etc.—is at www.mtlebanon.org, our official website. Click on the links at the bottom of this page to find answers to many of the things you’ll need to know about day-to-day life in our Mt. Lebanon.
If you don’t find what you’re looking for among the links we’ve suggested, then try the convenient A-Z menu. You also can get a feel for what it’s like to live in Mt. Lebanon by looking at current and back issues of mtl, our official community magazine, at www.lebomag.com (If you live here, you’ll get a print copy of the magazine 10 times a year).
And if you can’t find what you need online or prefer to speak with a human, you are welcome to call our public information officer, Susan Morgans, at 412-343-3780 or e-mail her at smorgans@mtlebanon.org. She can answer your questions or find someone who can.
There is also a wealth of printed information, including recycling stickers, at the customer service center on the first floor of the municipal building, 710 Washington Road. Stickers are free and are available at the Mt. Lebanon Library, Mt. Lebanon Municipal Building, Mt. Lebanon Public Safety Center and Rollier’s Hardware.
As you will probably find out for yourself, Mt. Lebanon is a friendly place. Often, the best place to get information about everyday things such as which preschool to pick, where to find fresh produce or what restaurants offer take-out is from your neighbors. It can’t hurt to ask, and you might make a new friend or two in the process!
If you’re still searching for a home, we hope you’ll find that Mt. Lebanon is a good fit for you. If you have recently moved here, we hope you’ll enjoy all the good things Mt. Lebanon has to offer. Please don't forget to visit MyLEBO, where you can sign up to receive important LeboALERT texts and emails, apply for permits and conveniently conduct other municipal business online. Good luck.
