Allegheny County Department of Public Works today announced that construction will begin on Bower Hill Road between Vanadium Road and Cochran Road in Scott Township and Mt. Lebanon Township beginning July 23, 2018. Work will occur between the hours of 6:00AM and 6:00PM with traffic controlled by alternating single lane closures and flaggers. The work will include paving approximately 2.1 miles of the road along with drainage repairs and safety improvements. Work is anticipated to last through the end of August. The work is being done as part of the 2018 Capital Roads Reconstruction Project, which is an $4.8 million construction contract. As work is scheduled on other projects further announcements will be made. This work is being done by A. Liberoni, Inc. of Plum, PA.

Allegheny County Public Works Department announced McNeilly Road will be closed at Route 88 starting on Monday 5/14. The county will be rehabilitating the bridge at the end of McNeilly. They anticipate the closure to last until sometime in October. Traffic will be detoured using Library Road (SR-88), Saw Mill Run Boulevard (SR-51), Liberty Avenue & Pioneer Avenue. Pedestrians can continue to use bridge during the closure.
