Job Details

The Mt Lebanon Police Dept, FT, $38,048 to $44,706 w/excellent fringe benefits. Enforcement of Animal Control Laws and regulations of domestic and “wild” animals within Mt. Lebanon and other communities served by contractual agreements. Duties include maintenance of animal shelter, disposal of unclaimed animals, patrolling for animal violations; assisting citizens with capture of wild animals; and answering complaints regarding dead, abused, or at-large animals.

HS diploma or GED, two years’ related experience, valid PA Driver’s License, exp. working with a variety of animals and small bore rifle, knowledge of humane animal treatment and animal control laws, written communication skills. Work schedule includes shift work, weekends and holidays. Candidate must submit to an extensive background investigation.
